Hello Waterfront Folks,

Just a heads up that this Friday is the Gorge Downwind Champs OC1/OC2 Canoe Ocean Racing and Surfski National Championships race from Stevenson to the Waterfront Park, so please expect a very busy day on the Hood River Waterfront and plan accordingly.  There are over 800 participants! The event utilizes the Waterfront Park for the finish line, so if you are a frequent user of the launch area or park expect congestion both on the water and for parking.

Here are the details:

Race Day- Friday, July 18th.

Event Details: 

• 11:10ish – SUP Start from the Beach
• 11:20ish – Water Start – All women OC and SKI, All Double OCs and SKIs
• 11:30ish – Water Start – All male OC’s
• 11:40ish – Water Start – All Male Skis
• 1:00 to 3:00 finish at the Hood River Waterfront Park

Green areas on the map below are designated for event parking.  The no parking areas on the map are for public parking and not for event parking.
